I love creating environmental design and graphics. When tasked with creating a concept for what Long Play office space might look like, I leaned heavily into musical imagery and props as a reminder of the world where the work created in this office would live in.
In cannabis retail, the challenge is that customers are not legally able to browse product in the same way they can in a traditional retail environment. That creates a distance between the customer and the product, and makes retail feel especially transactional. For this flagship retail concept, Long Play hired a retail designer to plan the space and fixtures and asked me to create graphics (and in this case props and wall treatments) to show how a customer could explore and immerse themselves. It's an exhibit to the intersection of cannabis and music with many moments of discovery and interaction to bring the experience back into retail.
